CARDIFF Metropolitan University is a thriving, modern University based on two teaching campuses in the capital city of Wales.
Cardiff Metropolitan University traces its heritage to 1865 with the formation of the Cardiff School of Art.
It offers more than 100 different degree programmes.

In its 2014 report on the University, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education affirmed that Cardiff Metropolitan University met UK expectations for academic standards and student learning opportunities. The Higher Education Academy has reflected this endorsement, awarding National Teaching Fellowships to two Cardiff Metropolitan University lecturers.
In the National Student Satisfaction survey for 2013-14, 86 per cent of our students said they were satisfied with the quality of their course. Seven programmes received 100% satisfaction from their students. The University has also been ranked once again as top in the UK for overall international student support - for the fifth year running in the International Student barometer.
Ninety-four per cent of our graduates secured employment or enter further study within six months of graduation, according to the latest data.
Cardiff Met was the top modern institution in the UK in the Times Higher Education overall quality ranking from the Research Excellence Framework (REF) for 2014. Eighty per cent of the University's overall quality profile rated as 'world leading' (4*) or 'internationally excellent' (3*). For impact, the proportion rated as 3* or 4* is even better at 83%.
Cardiff Met is a leading University for student sport. Its teams regularly win major British University competitions, while its students and alumni compete at the highest level. Examples include, the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The University is in excellent financial health, never having been in an end-of-year deficit.
Cardiff Metropolitan University has been awarded Investors in People (IiP) Silver accreditation. This achievement acknowledges that the University has been awarded one of the highest levels of accreditation within the IiP framework.
Cardiff Metropolitan University has been awarded ‘First Class Honours’ and ranked 7th in the list of University Alliance Higher Education Institutions for its approach to sustainability.
